Tonight, we celebrated belated Father's Day dinner at the Mandarin Golf Club in Markham. My parents and grandma have never been here before so it was a nice change of pace for everyone (since they usually like just going to Legend). My sister got a restaurant membership last year and have been here a few times. The Chinese restaurant here is pretty good and usually caters to a lot of Chinese weddings at the golf course. We order the following items and my parents really enjoyed the meal so I am sure we will be back:
Stir-fried Beef Tenderloin with Cashews and Peppers - Tasty
Wok Fried Golden Jumbo Shrimps - I love anything stirred fried in egg yolk. The shrimps were also indeed jumbo in size.
Stir-Fried Rice Noodle with Beef Tenderloin in Black Truffle Oil - First time I have ever had this dish and it was very good. The truffle oil really came through and infused the rice noodles.
Pork Ribs with Black Vinegar - Not usually my favourite dish but they did well with it.
Roasted Chicken with Marinated Vegetables - Didn't see the hype as the waitress was really pushing this dish. Just regular roasted chicken. Nothing special.
Braised Abalone with Chinese Greens - As expected.
Braised Chinese Mushroom & Tofu with Vegetables in Oyster Sauce - As expected.
Deep Fried Golden Sesame Rice Balls - My grandma's favorite. I like the mix of white and black sesame on the outside. So rich but so good!
