I want to point out that we ordered the bucket of chicken on a Toonie Tuesday and the quality was still top notch from the Queen and Bathurst location. When we ordered chicken before from a Richmond Hill franchise on a Toonie Tuesday, the chicken tasted really really bad. I think they were using stale oil since they were putting so much chicken through the fryer. Yes. I love my KFC. I was already salivating in the car after we picked it up and could not wait to get in that bucket!
The wine was Le Clos Jordanne Village Reserve Pinot Noir 2006 33894. Toronto Life gave this Ontario pinot noir an 88 and we agreed that it was a yummy bottle:
The Franco-Canuck venture is putting Ontario pinot noir on the world stage; this one is the best value of its five 2006 pinots. With cran-raspberry and an earthy background, it’s mid-weight, sinewy, sourish and tannic but has mid-palate elegance. Very good length. Best 2011 to 2014. Vintages.
