Maple Yip Seafood Restaurant (Luk Yu)

After a long drive back from Tremblant, I craved Chinese food (I rarely get sick of this) and Gary brought us to a place him and his family frequented in Scarborough. Maple Yip Seafood Restaurant was absolutely packed on this Sunday night. After waiting for 15 minutes (long for Chinese standards since they are all about the chop chop), we got our table and got started with our Chinese New Year meal. We had:
- King Mushrooms and Pea Sprouts
- Lobster with Maggie Sauce
- Pork Belly with Mui Choi 梅菜扣肉,
- Deep Fried White Bait (Bak Fan Yu) with Spicy Salt.

Everything was fresh and tasty. I rarely get to eat this pork belly and I am glad that Gary liked this dish too as Nick finds it too fatty and it is not something I can eat on my own. With some rice, this dish is true Chinese Hakka Comfort Food. This meal cost $65 tax and tip included for the 4 of us. Now that is a deal. :)

We are going back again this Saturday for Vince's Birthday Feast. Sooooo looking forward to it already especially since Gary already ordered a special soup. SLURP!
