Manor Weekend

This weekend's feasting featured My Paella from 1080 recipes along with steamed lobsters. The recipe for the paella was surprisingly simple and easy to follow. I just wished we had a proper paella pan to form the socarrat. It is that yummy crunchy golden crust formed by the rice against the pan. Now that we have proven it is not that difficult, we will have to try again with the proper equipment.

As for the weekend, nothing quite like sharing good food with good friends with good wine. Even the pups had a lot of fun running free in the country and then relaxing by the fire.

Life is good.

P.S. They are now super pooped from leaping around in the foot of snow we got. They never seem to feel the cold though.
