Soya Sauce Chicken 豉油雞

We tried this chicken at our friends place but I keep forgetting to try to make it. So easiest thing for me to remember is to put it here. Here is Jen's recipe:

1 whole chicken
1 cup light soya sauce
1 cup water
1 1/2 pc sugar cane
Green onion
Ginger

Note the amount of sugar and soya can be less if chicken is small.

-Wash chicken
-Stuff green onion and ginger inside chicken
-Add some Ginger and green onion into sauce pan stir fry
-Add soya sauce, water and sugar cane
-Add chicken into sauce once sugar cane is completely melted.
-Reduce heat and turn chicken every five/ten minute until sauce is thick or chicken is cooked.

I usually cover the sauce pan at least two time to ensure chicken is cooked. I also use a spoon to take the sauce from the pan and poor the sause on and inside the chicken will cooking. This will give the chicken more even colour and more flavour.
